At Beacon Farms we use as much of the coconut as we can. After we have pressed our grated coconut to extract the oil-rich coconut milk, the remaining grated coconut meat is dried and milled to produce coconut flour. Our flour is not bleached or processed in any other way; it’s just pure, raw coconut flour!
Coconut flour is a popular alternative to regular flour because it's relatively low in carbohydrates while being high in protein and fibre. It's also naturally gluten free.
Coconut flour is also exceptionally rich in manganese, an essential nutrient that is critical for many processes and functions within the body. Manganese helps to support bone health, and it helps your body better use other nutrients like choline and biotin. Even more, it acts as a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrient. In addition to manganese, coconut flour also contains other trace minerals like iron, potassium, phosphorus, selenium and vitamin B6.
